Terms
What you agree to.
Short, because it is a free tool for a hobby and there is not much to say.
Nothing here keys a transmitter
QSO App plans, records and organises. It never transmits. Whatever goes out over the air is sent by you, on your own licence, and you are the control operator for it. Part 97 is between you and your regulator; a screen in this app is not permission to do anything.
Your account
One person, one account. Do not claim a callsign you do not hold — the licence record is checked, and a claim that is not yours is removed. You can delete your account, and everything attached to it, from Account or from the Account tab in the iOS app. Deletion is immediate and is not a request.
What you post
Some of this app carries what other people wrote: a note beside your presence, a club’s news, a net’s summary, an alert to a club’s members. You keep what is yours. By posting it here you let us show it to the people it was meant for.
There is no tolerance for abusive, harassing, hateful, threatening, obscene or unlawful content, and none for people who post it. Report anything of the kind with the Report action beside it, in the app or on the site. Reports are read within 24 hours, content that breaks this rule is removed, and accounts that keep doing it are closed. You can also block an operator, which hides what they post from you at once and without telling them.
Other people’s services
The logbook is Wavelog, the node data is AllStarLink’s, the licence data is the FCC’s and ISED’s, and there are others on Ecosystem. Their terms are theirs, not ours, and we do not speak for them.
No charge, and no promises
This costs nothing to use and there is nothing to buy. It is offered as it is: no warranty, no guarantee that a repeater is on the air, that a licence record is current, or that a reach figure is right. Terrain arithmetic is an estimate. Check anything that matters.
The software itself
The platform is AGPL-3.0, the SDKs Apache-2.0, the written content CC BY-SA 4.0. These terms cover the service at qsoapp.com; the licences cover the code.
Changes
If these change in a way that matters, the change is announced on the site before it takes effect. Questions go to contact.
