Bring: the question cards from session 1; the VE session date; the club's meeting calendar.
Goal
Students who tested know what to do with the license; students who did not know how to stay: the club's nets, YOTA, the school station.
The cards (15 minutes)
Hand back the questions from session 1. Which were answered by radio? Which need a mode the class has not tried?
Keep going (20 minutes)
- Newly licensed: claim the callsign on QSO App, join the club, check into the next net from the phone. The First Contact path picks up where the class stopped.
- Not licensed yet: the next VE session, and the club's monthly meeting is open to everyone.
- Youth on the Air runs camps for 15 to 25 year olds; the club can nominate.
- The school's own station (its callsign on the club page) needs a trustee and a schedule: the club and the teacher agree on one before the programme ends.
Close (10 minutes)
The volunteer and the teacher fill in the programme record on the club page: what ran, what did not, who tested. That record is what the next school and the next grant application are built on.
